2010 Deprivation Data Available

The 2010 Deprivation data for Leicestershire, Leicester City, the Districts and Rutland is now available in the interactive mapping tool on the deprivation page within LSR-Online.

Deprivation Mapping - Interactive Reports

A set of new interactive reports have been created that map the 2004 & 2007 indices of deprivation for Leicestershire, Leicester City, each Local Authority and Rutland.

The DLG have anounced that the 2010 indicators will be released at the end of Mar 2010. These interactive reports will be amended to present that data.

Green spaces: A new approach to Consultation

Leicestershire County Council has developed an online map that enables members of the public to draw, or outline, area of green space and to give reasons why that green space is important to them and their community.

This consultation is in relation to the Government's Localism policy which aims to give local communities a greater say on planning decisions affecting their areas.

Population Broad Age Group Estimates 2002-08 & 2009

The restructured ONS Population Broad Age Group estimates for 2009 are now available within the Statistical Dataset section.
These figures are available at Lower Super Output Area, Ward and Distirct levels.
The data are available for Males, Females and Persons in the following Age Groups;
0 - 15 yrs
16 - 24 yrs
25 - 49 yrs
50 - 64/59 yrs
65/60+ yrs.

To access the data; search for your area level of interest, when the data set list appears (Step 2. Select Areas & Data Sets) select Population>Population Estimates.

The 2002-08 datasets have also been amended to reflect the change in the broad age band structure.

Partnership Strategic Assessment 2010-11

The 2010-11 Partnership strategic Assessment (PSA) is now available within the reports section.
The report, for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, brings together information regarding crime, disorder and community safety from across partner agencies to identify the longer-term issues impacting on Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, as well as the scope of, and projections for crime, criminality and other community safety concerns.

Anti-Social Behaviour Dashboards - August

The Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Dashboard provides a visual indication of the number of recorded ASB incidents against the previous year-to-date targets and long-term average. ASB incidents are broken down by category: Rowdy or Inconsiderate Behaviour, Vehicle Nuisance and Inappropriate Behaviour, Hoax Calls, Abandoned Vehicles and other ASB incidents. All seven districts of Leicestershire are covered along with Leicester city, the County, Rutland and the Force Area.

Crime Reductuion Dashboards - August

These dashboards provide a visual indication of recorded crime figures against performance/reduction targets for the year-to-date. All seven districts of Leicestershire are covered along with Leicester City, and an overall view of Leicestershire and the Force Area. The local reduction targets for each CDRP (Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership) are also provided as an appendix to the complete dashboard set.

The LEO (Leicstershire's Environment Online) website is now availalbe in the Links section of LSR-Online..

LEO aims to give users access to a lot of the information the County Council holds on the historic and natural environment and is specifically aimed at supporting online planning application.

It presents known or potential constraints and gives an indication where further information may be needed on the likely effects of a development. For example, users can see if there is a wildlife site nearby or if the development is in the historic core of a village.
