About This Report:
The Leicestershire County Council report, 'National Insurance Number Allocations to Overseas Nationals Living in Leicestershire' has been published. The report gives important evidence about movements into the workforce from overseas into Leicestershire up to 2006.

A summary of the most recent figures shows that in Leicestershire
800 overseas nationals registered for National Insurance Numbers in 2005/6. Of these, over 1,230 were from EU accession countries, and 690 originated from Asia.
The source figures for the report are National Insurance Number registrations by country of origin, age and gender, released by the Department for Work and Pensions in Summer 2006. The figures do not cover all migration in and out of the country.
