Description: During April 2009 Voluntary Action Leicester (VAL) secured funding from Capacity Builders to investigate how the Voluntary and Community Sector were reacting to the impacts of the recession and identify potential for additional service delivery, capacity and skills development and interventions. The report draws on research with 126 voluntary and community sector organisations in Leicester and Leicestershire to make recommendations to help build sector strength, adaptability and closer partnership working within the Voluntary and Community Sector and with other agencies and bodies in the coming years.
