Report : Leicester City Council's Consultation Toolkit

Description: The Leicester City Council's Consultation Toolkit provides a wealth of information on consultation and research to help those undertaking consultations. It is designed to help those who may have had limited and little experience with undertaking a consultation exercise.

The Toolkit has a range of information on it including an introduction to consultation, what it is and why it is undertaken, and guidelines on Leicester City Council's consultation policy and the Public Consultation and Research Group who oversee consultation activities within the Council.

The Toolkit also includes extensive guidelines on how to plan a consultation exercise, a helpful guide to technical tools and terms as well as an outline of the main methods of consultation and why and when they should be used.

Helpful information on analysing data, how to give helpful feedback to consultees and how to monitor and evaluate your consultation is also included in the Toolkit.

The Toolkit also contains access to major Leicester City Council consultation reports such as the 2001 Resident's Survey and the BVPI User Satisfaction Survey 2004 and the Leicester Lifestyle Survey 2003.

It also includes a list of possible consultants and a data based of external organisations plus past copies of the Council's Consultation Bulletin and Consultation Training Programmes.
