Description: Leicestershire County Council and the Leicester Shire Economic Partnership commissioned BMG Research to carry out a survey of user satisfaction within towns and village centres across Leicestershire. The survey was conducted in the summer of 2008, interviewing visitors to seventeen market towns and villages across Leicestershire. It largely repeats the approach and methodology of a similar survey carried out in 2006.

The purpose of the original research was to conduct customer satisfaction research in each of the centres, to inform the establishment of baselines to support LAA work. The intention of the survey was to understand the issues specific to each settlement with a view to developing action plans for intervention. The aim of this work in 2008 is to build on the work from 2006, and in particular to identify changes in attitudes and opinions over the past two years, some of which may be attributable to interventions and policy initiatives arising from the results of the 2006 survey.

A main report for Leicestershire and 17 individual settlement reports have been produced.
