Description: In 2008 the Research and Information Team were asked to summarise the existing evidence about what it is like to live in Leicestershire County, based around a number of general themes. The result- This is Leicestershire 2008- represented the evidence base needed to develop the Sustainable Community Strategy (SCS) for Leicestershire and the LAA2.

The SCS has been reviewed annually and a full mid-Strategy review will take place in late 2010 – which should fit with the timescale for developing our next (third) LAA, assuming that national policy does not change and the three year LAA cycle is retained. in order to inform this review, the Research and Information Team has been tasked with coordinating an update of This is Leicestershire 2008.

This final draft will be circulated to wider partnership organisations during July and Agust 2010. Comments and suggestions should be forwarded to:

The deadline for comments on the final draft is 18th August, at which point a final report will be published electronically in advance of the Leicestershire Together Forum later in the year.
