Leicester and Leicestershire Business Survey - Winter 2012

About This Report:

The Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP) has published the latest edition of the Leicester and Leicestershire Business Survey. The business survey has been carried out by a partnership involving Leicestershire County Council, Leicester City Council and other key local agencies since 1994.

The survey provides a comprehensive picture of local business optimism and performance. Interviews were conducted in February and March 2012 and businesses were consulted about their growth plans and their key concerns. In addition, this survey has gathered intelligence on topics of local interest including Broadband speed, transport and parking, environmental issues and recruitment of young people.

The survey was conducted by telephone with a sample size of 1,000 businesses across Leicester City and Leicestershire County, with at least 90 interviews in each Local Authority District, providing a robust source of evidence. The LLEP will be using the findings from this survey to inform its Economic Growth Plan.
