Estimated resident population by ethnic group, broad age group and sex for mid-2006 has been loaded in the Reports section of LSR-Online.
The data is extracted from the Office for National Statistics experimental Population Estimates by Ethnic Group for local authority districts in England for 2006. They supersede the estimates previously published. The estimates are consistent with the Mid-Year Population Estimates.
The data will be loaded into the Statistics section of LSR-Online, for mapping purposes, in due course.
Thanks to all who attended the LSR-Online user group meeting on the 28th of February, and a double thank you to all who completed the LSRO user satisfaction survey on the day. An electronic version of this questionnaire is now circulated and users are urged to fill it in so as to baseline the performance of the LSR website and help us to improve our ongoing services.

A number of new reports have recently been published on the LSR-Online website: Employment and Residential Land Availabilty reports were added at the end ot January, and the Central Enderby Priority Neighbourhood Profile has been completed and published even more recently.
These monthly "dashboard" displays are available on LSR-Online for download for the month of December, 2007. Go to the "Latest Reports" section to view or download them.

Deprivation Indices for 2007 are now available on the LSR website, including Indices of Barriers to Housing and Services, Crime Deprivation, Education Skills and Training Deprivation, Employment Deprivation, Health and Disability Deprivation, Income Deprivation affecting Children and Older People, Living Environment Deprivation and the Index of Multiple Deprivation. These rankings are at Super Output Area level, and thus can provide a robust comparison with the rankings published in 2004.
Leicester Shire and Rutland Sport in conjunction with Sport England have chosen to use the LSR-Online platform to publish data about the populations levels of physical activity. Based on the 2005-2006 telephone survey in which the sport and exercise habits of 363,724 adults across England, the data is available for percentages of people acheiving Key Performance Indicator 1 (exercising moderately for thirty minutes three times a week) at district level, and also in demographic "Market Segmentations" at Super Output Area level. Also available on line are thematic maps of estimated KPI1 proportions at middle Super Output Area level.
