The following terms and definitions are used around the website.


Local Area Agreement is an agreement between Leicestershire (through Leicestershire Together, and Leicestershire County council as the accountable body) and the Government (through the Government Office) on the priorities for the area and targets for improvement, as laid out in the Sustainable Community Strategy (SCS).


Lower Super Output Areas, or sometimes known simply as Super Output Areas (SOA) are a new geography for the collection and publication of small area statistics. It is planned to have 3 layers of SOA, the first two of which already exist. The SOA layers form a hierarchy based on aggregations of Output Areas (OAs).

    Local Strategic Partnership


    LSR is the new name for the Leicestershire Statistics and Research website, which was previously known as LSORA (Leicester Shire Online Research Atlas.) It brings together the content from LSORA and the more research based Leicestershire Intelligence website. The new site has also been redeveloped to increase usability, speed and user-friendliness.
